Bravo yogurt was developed by Dr Marco Ruggiero in 2011 together with his wife Dr. Stefania Pacini, who is also MD and PhD. Intended as a good source of edible GcMAF from a non-blood source.
At the 6th International AIDS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention (Rome, 17-20 July 2011), they described a simple, inexpensive, non-toxic cure for AIDS that has no negative side-effects, the basic mechanism involves stimulation of the immune system which increases CD4 counts of several hundred in a few weeks compared with the claimed benefits of anti-retroviral therapy cite increases of only about 90 per year.
Whilst the Bravo yogurt may be beneficial to support re-establishment of the immune system, there are some people who either choose to be dairy free for ethical reasons and also those who are truly unable to tolerate dairy, (even though as part of the fermentation most of the lactose is fermented and during the initial heating of the milk the casein is denatured), you can read more about this here.
Non Dairy Bravo (NDB)
NDB is the new Non Diary version of Bravo, with the same microbial composition as the dairy version (except for the the cultures have been naturally selected to ferment in a medium of sugar to make a juice rather than milk and colostrum as in the traditional Bravo.
What about the GcMAF? By the time the juice was developed, the science behind the properties of Chondroitin Sulphate (CS) as the active site of the GcMAF had been published and presented at the 3rd International congress on Integrated medicine, Germany, November 2015:Germany on the 29th of November 2015 to explain why CS is superior to and replaces GcMAF as the ultimate, non-protein, non-blood-derived Macrophage Activating Factor (MAF).
CS has an evidence in its own right and the Bravo Non Dairy combines all the known healthy properties of probiotics with the known healthy properties of Chondroitin Sulphate. There is also a big advantage in the Non dairy version in that the Chondroitin sulphate has been metabolised by the microbes during the fermentation process. The same as what happens with colostrum, you can drink colostrum and it is helpful, but in the Bravo yogurt, fermentation is when the starter ingredients are modified by the microbes and their enzymes, and can enhance the bioavailability of some of the known beneficial nutrients. In addition, chondroitin sulphate is a prebiotic, i.e. it helps the microbes in the gut to populate.
